  26.       comTAP is a powerful serial communications analyzer designed as a
  27.       high performance tool for software and hardware professionals.
  28.       Now you can eliminate guesswork about asynchronous transmissions,
  29.       connections, character timing, and serial events without purchasing
  30.       an expensive hardware monitor.

  32.       comTAP requires minimal setup. You can run the program immediately,
  33.       but be sure to examine or print COMTAP.DOC before starting.  Any of
  34.       the files with the .DOC extension can be printed with the DOS "print"
  35.       command.  For example, to print this file, type PRINT COMTAP.DOC at
  36.       the DOS prompt.

  38.       Once you examine the program, you may wish to build a monitoring
  39.       cable to capture bidirectional conversations and experiment with the
  40.       more advanced features of comTAP. Print CABLE.DOC for the diagram and
  41.       pinout of an easy to build, basic monitoring cable.

  50.       files. Both groups are listed below for reference.  All files in both
  51.       groups should be present after you have installed the program.

  85.                       The Shareware Concept

  88.       comTAP is distributed on a Shareware basis. You may use comTAP
  89.       without charge for the purposes of evaluating it's usefulness and
  90.       suitability to task. If you find comTAP worthwhile, then you should
  91.       order a registered version of the program. Registered copies of the
  92.       program allow complete access to all program functions without
  93.       registration reminders and come with a detailed user's manual,
  94.       monitor cables and two serial connectors.  An order form is already
  95.       prepared in ORDERFRM.DOC - simply print this file, supply the
  96.       necessary information and mail it in to us with your payment. An
  97.       invoice will be shipped automatically with your order.

  99.       comTAP will soon have additional capabilities and enhancements, and
  100.       as a registered user you will be entitled to low cost upgrades to the
  101.       newest versions as soon as they are released. Most importantly
  102.       however, by registering your copy of comTAP (or any Shareware
  103.       product), you'll ensure the survival of the convenient and risk free
  104.       distribution method that originally brought you comTAP.

  106.       If you have paid a small fee to a Users' Group, "Software Library" or
  107.       "SIG" to receive this copy, you have NOT acquired the registered
  108.       rights or continued right to use comTAP. This fee was for the
  109.       convenience of obtaining the comTAP diskette, and cannot be applied
  110.       toward the purchase of a registered copy.

  113.       concept, without charge, providing you distribute the original file
  114.       without modifcation. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or
